29 Jan Contacta introduce new products and upgrades at ISE 2025
UK leaders in assistive listening technology, Contacta Systems, continue to innovate with new additions to their product range being launched at ISE 2025.
The Kent-based company will be unveiling its new integrated hearing loop drivers.
The ID-6 combines powerful and efficient Class-D performance with flexibility and compact physical dimensions. It is designed for unattended operations including in signage, LED kiosks and elevators. With an output capability from 7V to 15VRMS and 5A, it includes adjustments for high frequency compensation to counteract metal loss, plus line gain and drive adjustments.
The ID-6 also comes with a newly developed optional backup battery circuit to maintain an external backup power source.
It joins the ID-7, a significant upgrade from Contacta’s existing HLD5 loop driver. Designed for integration in smaller venues, the ID-7 can power hearing loops in meeting rooms, classrooms or consultation rooms. Having many of the same features at the ID-6, this model offers more power, with an operating supply range of 9V – 24VDC. Featuring a 100V line input, two ID-7s can be daisy chained for a phased array layout.
ISE 2025, which takes place 4 -7 February in Barcelona and brings together more than 1,000 exhibitors from the global AV and systems integration industry, will also be the first opportunity visitors will have had to get close-up to new additions to Contacta’s RF range.
Highlights include the RF-TXRM-D-865/915 Stationary RF transmitter with Dante™, available in either 865MHz (UK/EU) or 915MHz (USA/AU) frequencies. Designed to provide wireless amplified assistive listening in large venues from an FM radio wave, Dante™ connectivity also allows the audio to be transmitted over an ethernet connection.
Two new portable kits have been added to the range. The RF-PK1-865/915 amplifies one-to-one conversations while the RF-PORTABLEKIT gives speakers the freedom of movement in conferences or lecture halls.
“We’ve expanded our RF range following strong demand from our customers, and more kits are being developed currently,” said Ran Meyrav, Head of New Business Development at Contacta.
“RF provides an assistive listening solution for hearing aid users, but our compact receivers can be used with headphones as well. That makes them perfect for anyone who needs to hear more clearly, or for use in noisy environments like factories or warehouses. Venues such as museums can use the technology to act as a tour-guiding system which makes our RF range great value for money.”
The Contacta team at booth 7B220 will also showcase the new upgrade of their flagship ‘V Series’ hearing loop driver range to the ‘V+ Series’.
The new V7+, V15+, V15a+ and V22+ models introduce a host of new features, as well as improvements to firmware and performance.
Live demonstrations of their all-new programming software for the VLD1 Transport loop system will allow installers to get hands-on and experiment with the setup process themselves.
